The ability to:

> Take responsibility for developing / setting / achieving group goals;
>Evaluate own strengths and weaknesses as a leader / team member, and / or autonomously working in a team context.Standard 9: Contribute effectively to professional teams
As part of my university program I have collaborated with other students in a range of different tasks and projects including organising an Early Childhood "Under Eights Day" Event at the local library. As part of a team, I was placed in the leadership role of main contact person and student organizer for this event, This included assisting all student groups with their early childhood task for the day. I was able to effectively communicate and negotiate with the head children's librarian, early childhood lecturers and other students in order to hold what was a very successful event. I was also able to demonstrate my cultural awareness in this area, as the theme for this Early Childhood Event was Living Diversity-Act Locally-Think Globally.
Team Work Skills are demonstrated in the school environment when I:
- Use my interpersonal skills to communicate, collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts with parents, admin and students.
-Accept roles, responsibilities and advise
- Approach tasks in a proactive, cooperative and professional manner
- Share resources and ideas
- Value and respect different perspectives
